within two months his mobile has stolen while claiming insurance they are asking police FIR copy for proof of evidance.

So we need to file FIR to police station. FIR copy is mandatory to claim insurance.

Now what is next . They will ask original bill copy. This also mandatory.

Apple has increased prices of iPhones in India.The surprise revision in retail prices comes at a time when the company's new device SE got a poor response and managed to sell only a few thousand units.

Unknown Sources said Apple decided to withdraw some of the discounts offered in January-March 2016 period. "It was felt that SE, which was criticized for having a 'high price tag', will not be able to see much traction if prices of bigger-sized iPhone 6 and 6S devices are not corrected. So, the decision was taken to revise the price upwards," a source said.

While 16GB version of 4-inch SE made its debut at Rs 39,000, a similar specced (16GB) version of iPhone 6 is available at Rs 31,000 and 6S at Rs 40,500. "After the revision, iPhone 6 costs Rs 40,000 and 6S comes for Rs 48,000. We are trying to build a healthy buffer," the source added.

The company also decided to tinker with pricing of iPhone 5S, making it costlier by 22% to nearly Rs 22,000 against Rs 18,000 at present. Apple has also come out with corporate offers and EMI plans to push sales.

Apple recently held a meeting with top executives and key distributors in India, especially in view of the launch of SE. "The stock of SE was in any case kept at a low level," a source said. "A strategy is being worked out to pitch the device more effectively."

A potential source of worry for Apple could be a good response to Samsung for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. After launching in March, Samsung managed to sell nearly twice the numbers achieved by the previous-generation models in the same period.

"Another problem for SE in India is the small screen size. Indians are increasingly buying larger screen-sized phones, even at the lower-end of the market. A lot of data is consumed on smart devices and smaller ones do not find much favour with buyers," a Unknown source said.

Following the Silicon Valleys recent stare-down with authorities over user data privacy involving Apples iPhone encryption, social media firm whatsapp has announced end-to-end encryption of Whatsapp messages that allows users to protect their conversations from being hacked.

An important milestone for the WhatsApp community. Now all your conversations and calls are encrypted to keep you and your information safe when you use the latest version, said CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a statement on Wednesday.

Facebook acquired California-based WhatsApp in 2014.

A full end-to-end encryption means that over one billion users of WhatsApp, when running the latest version of the messaging app, every call they make, and every message, photo, video, file, and voice message they send, will be end-to-end encrypted by default, and can only be deciphered by the intended recipient.

The idea is simple: when you send a message, the only person who can read it is the person or group chat that you send that message to. No one can see inside that message. Not cybercriminals. Not hackers. Not oppressive regimes. Not even us, said Jan Koum, CEO and co-founder of Whatsapp in a blog post on Tuesday.

Encryption is one of the most important tools governments, companies, and individuals have to promote safety and security in the new digital age. Recently there has been a lot of discussion about encrypted services and the work of law enforcement, Koum added.

In a boost to net neutrality, Fb has decided to shut down its controversial Free Basics programme in India, following telecom regulator Trais move to bar operators from charging different rates for Internet access based on content.

Facebook met with severe criticism for its programme, which aimed at providing basic Internet access to people in partnership with telecom operators.

Critics saw this as violation of the principle of net neutrality that states that entire Internet should be available to everyone on equal terms as Free Basics allowed access to selected websites.

Free Basics is no longer available to people in India, a Facebook spokesperson said in an emailed response.

The service was available in India with Reliance Communications. In December, Reliance put the service on hold following a Telecom Regulator Authority of Indias directive to that effect

NEW DELHI: Ringing Bells Pvt. Ltd., which promised to make available the worlds cheapest smartphone, on Friday said it will cooperate with any investigation into its affairs.

We have already done so with authorities/agencies that have so required, the company based in Noida in Uttar Pradesh said in a statement, citing Managing Director Mohit Goel.

A first information report (FIR) was registered on Tuesday against Goel and company president Ashok Chaddha under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as the Information Technology (IT) Act on a complaint filed by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya.

According to the company, Freedom 251 will run on Android 5.1 operating system and will sport a 4-inch qHD IPS display, a 3.2-megapixel primary and a 0.3-megapixel front camera.

However, doubts were raised after assessments of the viability of the handset found that such a device cannot be offered for less than Rs.2,300-2,400.

In Freedom 251, as presented to several authorities and agencies, and explained at our various forums, we are able to price our product at lower than production cost due to innovative e-commerce cross promotions and we will complete delivery of the quantities as committed by June 30, 2016, Goel said.

Ringing Bells had received 30,000 orders on the first day.

The rest of the customers for the first 25 lakh handsets were to be selected on first-come-first-served basis as the company received about seven crore registrations before the payment gateway crashed.

Later, the company decided to return the money to the customers who pre-booked the Rs.251 device on the first day of the sale.

The company said it planned to give 25 lakh handsets in the first phase before June 30.
